The Bride

As I wrote about in a blog last week, one of our 24 year old twin daughters Meg, became engaged to Chad . As I have watched their courtship blossom over the passed months, and their love for each other grow, I have been reminded of a greater love. Just as Chad sought Meg out and pursued her as his chosen Bride, Jesus sought us, pursued us and purchased us to be his Bride. As I see Chad look into Meg's eyes with adoration and affection, I am reminded of the great Love our Savior has for us His chosen Bride. Chad has taken precaution after precaution to protect his Bride and to present her pure without spot or blemish on the day of their wedding.

That is the same desire our Bridegroom has for His Bride, the church, to be presented "holy and without blemish"? How do we present ourselves holy without blemish? How does sanctification take place. There is only one way to do that. We must spend time with our Bridegroom. We must fellowship with Him daily. We must read His words. We must mediate on His words. We must obey His words. He will lavish His love on us and the more He loves us, the more we love Him. The more we love Him, the more we want to do what pleases Him. The more we do what pleases Him, the more we will become holy and without spot or blemish.

Spend time with THE Bridegroom today!

All to Him I owe!

Paige
